Fox River CARES With Quilts

A new ministry is beginning at Fox River! Fox River CARES With Quilts will create “Care Quilts” for members of our congregation, those referred through our Prayer Network, and others who need Christian love, prayer, and support.

This group is about more than making quilts—it is an opportunity for Christian fellowship and serving others. You do not need to know how to sew to participate! There are many ways to help with cutting, assembling, tying, organizing supplies, and other quilt-making tasks. Teens and adults are welcome, with the monthly Saturday gathering offering teens an opportunity to learn sewing and quilting while serving others.

Meetings begin Tuesday, September 8, from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM and will continue on the 1st, 2nd & 3rd Tuesdays and 4th Saturday of each month. The group will meet in the Quilt Room at church and may expand to a larger space as participation grows.

Help Us Get Started!

The group is seeking donated supplies and/or monetary support for startup needs, including sewing machines, fabric, batting, yarn, thread, scissors, a rotary cutter, and a 36" × 24" cutting mat. A collection bucket will be available at church for supply donations. Monetary gifts can be made to the church with “Quilt Ministry” noted in the memo.
